LG Cookie The LG KP500 is a touchscreen phone for those on a budget. It's a compact device but with a large touchscreen display that's easy and fun to use. With a 3.2 megapixel camera, a media player, an FM radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a memory card slot, this phone has all the essentials. Although it misses out on 3G and a top class camera, it has most features that most people will want, and for the money you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than this! |
| Samsung Tocco Ultra Samsung have combined the two sexiest form factors - the touchscreen and the slider - to create a slide phone with a full touchscreen-driven interface. The Tocco Ultra is a flagship phone with an 8 megapixel camera, class-leading OLED display, media player, GPS, Bluetooth, memory card slot and high-speed internet. A lovely phone, although the user interface could be better, especially for texting. |
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Nokia's first touchscreen phone is impressively good. It may not have quite the polished feel of the iPhone, but with so many good features, it's in many ways better than the iPhone. Headline features include the very high resolution touchscreen with 16 million colours, the 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 3G video calling, an excellent web browser with support for Flash, the music player & FM radio, GPS positioning with Nokia Maps, WiFi, Bluetooth and an 8GB memory card. Available in black, red or blue. |
| LG Arena The LG Arena is probably the best phone to be released in the first quarter of 2009. It's a compact touchscreen phone with a breathtaking screen, a fantastic new user-friendly interface, quality looks and a massive array of features: 5 megapixel camera with autofocus & flash, 3G video calling, music player with Dolby Mobile, FM radio, A-GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, FM transmitter, 3.5mm headphone jack. Oh, and we nearly forgot to mention the 8GB memory, expandable to 40GB! It really is a stunner! But beware - don't buy it on Orange! |
LG Viewty We love the Viewty! Combining a touchscreen user interface with the latest technology, the Viewty ticks all the boxes: 5 megapixel camera, 3G video calling, high quality video camera, MP3 player, FM radio, HSDPA for broadband internet speeds and bags of memory. Available in black, silver & purple (new). |
| Samsung Omnia The Samsung Omnia is the hottest phone of 2008. It's a touchscreen smartphone and, unlike the iPhone, it does everything that a high-spec phone ought to do. The Omnia has everything: a 5 megapixel camera, 3G video calling, a music player & FM radio, fast web browsing, the most memory ever seen on a mobile phone, and it connects to any device you can think of via Bluetooth, USB or Wi-Fi.

Sony Ericsson C905 The C905 is an amazing phone, raising the bar in camera phone capabilities, with an 8.1 megapixel camera with a powerful xenon flash. In our opinion this is the best camera phone currently available. It's also equipped with GPS satnav, a media player, FM radio with RDS, 3G HSDPA with video calling, WiFi, and up to 8 GB of memory. However, it isn't the perfect phone: the tricky keypad, poor battery life, lack of video calling and tendency for the speaker to fail mean that it can't have 5 stars.
